I grew up in San Jose, Ca and spent my summers in Pinecrest, Ca; it was here my love for the outdoors began. After high school I attended California State University at Chico (BA ‘96) .  I spent 3 years of my life in the military. I was stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany for 3 years with the US Army; deploying to Bosnia for Operation Joint Endeavor as an Infantryman for Delta Company 1/26 Infantry.  After that I received my teaching credential and I was a 4th grade teacher for 3 years in Alum Rock Unified in San Jose, Ca. Currently, I work for an (ai) artificial intelligence company in edtech providing safety for K-12 students in Los Gatos, CA.

I bought a camera in 2010 to photograph my children, and I quickly realized that photographing nature was very important to me and it was something I needed to do. (I still love photographing my kids) I would love to leave an affection of the wilderness behind to my children.  Specifically, the love of wild places that fall more than a casual effort away.
